Les Frappés

[🇬🇧] The story of ordinary people who became extraordinary parents [Cerebral palsy] - Thomas & Petra (Part 2)

Loïc Blanchard Season 3
This is the second part of my conversation with  long time friends Petra and Thomas, parents of Leo and Raph, twins who were born at just 26 weeks and were soon after diagnosed with Cerebral palsy, a group of movement disorders caused by damage to the developing brain 🧠

Parenting can be tough at times 🤕

Petra and Thomas had to learn to become parents while being under heavy stress 😣 on a daily basis.

😮‍💨 Because their children had to be put on oxygen to stay alive.
🥵 Because all of a sudden they were on a non-stop mission to answer Raph and Leo’s special needs.
💥 Because their relationship suffered from the many many sleepless nights that they regularly had to spend in emergency rooms…

But they made it. They found the internal ressources to move on and live a happy life. And that is truly inspiring.

This is the story of Petra and Thomas, ordinary people who became extraordinary parents. To me and to many others who will discover who they are in this episode, they are unsung heroes, living examples of what resilience and love ❤️ can accomplish.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the conversation, but be ready to be as much inspired 🤩 as you’ll be moved 😭
